Receiving Guidelines
Inbound Receiving
Pik Pak inbound receiving process is determined by our Receiving Guidelines. Inbound shipments that comply with our Receiving Guidelines do not incur handling fees they are simply received into inventory and put away to storage without delay.
Shipments that do not comply with Pik Pak Receiving Guidelines are listed as “Non Compliant ” and will be made compliant in order to receive these into inventory accurately.
Unloading Pallets
Any containers or palletised deliveries will be unloaded and need to be on Australian standard pallets so that they can be safely stored in racking.
Any Large Items will be palletised for safe handling.
Large Items
PIk Pak manages each of your inventory as Items (or Stock Keeping Units (SKU) )Pik Pak classes anything as a Large Item that either;
a) Exceeds 100cm in length OR,
b) Exceeds 15 Kg in dead weight or 10 Kg cubic weight
Receiving Guidelines
Whenever sending any product to a Pik Pak warehouse, aim to follow our Receiving Guidelines so your shipment can be received without any delay or additional costs;
Enter your Purchase Order details in advance (so our warehouse is expecting your goods in advance and will allocate space for you)
Print and attach your Purchase Order (or reference the PO # in the accompanying paper work) with the goods (so our warehouse knows they belong to you)
Ensure your products are labelled on the external packaging with your Item# or SKU codes (so we can identify them easily and accurately for you, without having to break open the original packaging)
Cartons must only contain multiple units of a single item. Any mixed boxes (ie. "Non Compliant" with Receiving Guidelines) that need to be sorted and counted are marked as “mixed carton” (so the warehouse can receive them quickly for you)
Labels should include ;
Item Number - for easy identification (if possible)
Manufacturer Item ID - if your factory or supplier has already labelled the items
Description - so we can confirm & check the products with a real human (ie. not a machine)
Quantity in the carton
Carton Dimensions (Length x Width x Height) in centimetres
Carton Weight (in Kilograms)
Whenever you are sending product to a Pik Pak warehouse, remember to follow our receiving guidelines, where possible.
This will make things much smoother for you and will help us to Receive your stock onto inventory as soon as possible.
What is I am unable to meet the Receiving Guidelines ?
On occasion, you may not be able to comply with our Receiving Guidelines, perhaps your factory or warehouse has already shipped the goods, or for whatever reason, they are unable to comply with the Receiving Guidelines.
This happens from time - time , that's OK.
However, inbound shipments that do not comply with our Receiving Guidelines, are marked as "Non-compliant" and need to be made "Compliant" so that Pik Pak can receive them accurately, efficiently and safely.
